What is SHRM?
The Collegiate Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management meets on a regular basis throughout the school year. The UNK SHRM chapter allows members to develop and expand their managerial skills through the “Professional Operation of the Chapter,” the “Professional Development of Members,” and the “Support of the Profession.”
The chapter brings in a number of speakers to discuss relevant human resource management and general management topics. Additionally, the chapter tours local businesses, and engages in other professional and social activities. Participation in SHRM affords students an excellent opportunity for enhancing their management skills and knowledge, meeting industry professionals, and making friends.
