Andy Sharma uses a theoretical and applied framework when addressing issues related to healthcare access, health disparities, and policies to improve population health. His business and policy classes focus on healthcare, and the economics and policy of healthcare. A member of the Midwest Political Science Association, he has presented on population health, offered workshops, and authored peer reviewed journal articles in various academic journals. He also co-authored a book, Brave New World of Healthcare Revisited: What Every American Needs to Know about Our Healthcare Crisis, with three term Colorado Governor Richard Lamm.

Attend class and participate (for in-person class) or actively engage in the discussion boards (on-line class). Also, read the assigned readings for each week.
Classes consist of interactive discussions on current healthcare themes. The goal is to engage students to better understand how population health can be improved from an interdisciplinary approach. Group work and instructional videos are also an important part of classes.
