The tweenage and pubertal years are an important time for young athletes to begin transitioning to a more structured training environment and a great time to enhance athletic development while adjusting to a rapidly changing body.
The Development Phase of long-term athlete development is essential to optimize the high school sports experience. This programs continues to focus on overall athleticism – movement skills, speed, agility, strength, power, balance and coordination - and mastering the fundamentals to allow for more advanced performance training.
