Honors Program Scholarships


The Honors Program gives out a select number of scholarships to first-year students (incoming freshmen), annually. These scholarships are highly competitive and include:

  • the prestigious Honors Program Omaha World Herald Scholarship, which pays for tuition, books, room, board, and fees for 8 semesters. Up to three (3) first-year student applicants are awarded each year and applicants should have a minimum of a 3.85 GPA and 30 ACT or above.
  • multiple awards up to $2000 cash; and/or full or half room waivers.
  • a specialized program, the Chancellor’s Cyber Scholarship, which pays for room and board for the first year. This scholarship is for Honors students committed to Cyber majors. Simply place your intended Cyber major in the “Intended Academic Major” box to be considered.

To apply for the above listed Honors Program Scholarships (including the Chancellor’s Cyber Scholarship), you must be a first-year student* and complete the Honors Program Application and the Honors Scholarship section** on the application by January 7th to receive full consideration.
