Concern for environment inspires new major

Environmental issues are a growing concern across the nation and
students across campus are showing an increasing interest in the
environmental fields. The environmental science minor was recently
added to the curriculum because of the growing interest expressed by

Oksoberfest alive with Halloween fun

Scandalous costumes, two kegs and puking make for a typical Halloween
night at the third annual Oksoberfest held in the Ponderosa Room of the
Nebraskan Student Union. Peer Health Education (PHE), which is part of
Counseling and Health Care, sponsored the event as a non-alcoholic
activity for students to participate in.

Japanese Festival brings food and fun to campus
