Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honor Society. The Xi Beta Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta has been on the UNK campus for over 75 years. Membership in Sigma Tau Delta is open to anyone, regardless of their major, who has completed at least 6 hours of English (beyond the freshman level) with better than a 3.0 GPA who is also in the top third of his or her class. Members of the Xi Beta Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta participate in community and campus activities that promote English learning, fellowship with fellow members and faculty at monthly meetings, and participate in fund-raising activities.
