Mortar Board

Mortar Board is the premier national honor society recognizing college seniors for superior achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service.  Membership is synonymous with dedication and success.  Only a select few students on each campus are invited to join this esteemed society - an honor naming them among the most amazing college scholar-leaders in the US.

Mortar Board members are not only recognized as the top scholars and leaders on their campuses, but are presented with the unique opportunity to join a diverse group of students from vastly different disciplines and interests in this great society.

Since Mortar Board's founding in 1918, nearly a quarter of a million venerated members have held the honor of being initiated at 228 chartered chapters across the nation.  Our society provides its members with opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community.  Additionally, Mortar Board offers numerous benefits to members, including career networking, fellowships and awards.

The Xi Phi Chapter of Mortar Board is a national honor society which recognizes academic and social merit among college seniors. Through its efforts, Mortar Board seeks to promote leadership, scholarship, and civic service among the college community.
