Glass and Sculpture Club (GAS Club) meets every week to blow glass together. Once, sometimes twice, per year, the students hold an open house and glass sale. The public is invited in to watch off-hand glass blowing demonstrations, meet the students, tour the facility, and purchase work made in the UNK hot shop studio. Funds raised are used to keep the studio going, bring in visiting artists, and supplement scholarship activity. Once every two years, the students combine their artistic skills to produce unique glass centerpieces for the MONA (Museum of Nebraska Art) Spirit Fundraiser. The banquet centerpieces are then sold, with the proceeds going to MONA.
Meetings are held in Otto Olsen, room 137 on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm.
