What makes UNK a great choice for students? There are so many things that makes UNK such a great place to attend college. First, the size is ideal. It is a large enough school that it is very easy to meet and get to know many people, but small enough that students aren’t just a number. They are individually cared for. Also, they encourage undergraduate research, which is something so very unique and original to put on resumes. It is a very friendly atmosphere and in most of the classes the professors know your name because the classroom sizes are small.
What have you enjoyed the most in being a student at UNK? I know that we are in college to get our degrees, but I think that the thing that I have enjoyed in college that most is all of the people that I have had the opportunity to meet. I know that I have already made friends that I will have for a lifetime. TSLC has really helped with this too. Because it is almost like having a really big extended family.
What are you looking forward to in being a TSLC Mentor? I am looking forward to having the chance to really care for and make some really good relationships with the mentees. I am excited to see how they are going to figure out who they are and help them discover what college has to offer.
How would friends describe your personality? My friends would describe me as a very outgoing, energetic person that is almost always happy.
Interests/Hobbies/Involvement at UNK/in community:Student Social Work Organization, International Justice Mission, volunteering at Crossroads, crocheting, reading, and biking are a few of my favorite things to do.
