CDL Third Party Test Site  If you have passed your CDL written knowledge tests and need to take your brake, skills, and driving tests to complete the requirements to get your CDL, the Nebraska Safety Center can assist you.   

As a Third Party Test site we can administer the brake, skills, and driving tests without the long waits that you may encounter at a DMV office. 

We offer convenient test times between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday.  Saturday and after hours times may be available by special appointment. 

We now have vehicles that can be used to take Class A, B, or C CDL tests, and have a vehicle that can be used to take your passenger endorsement test or school bus tests in.

If you do not have a representative vehicle for the class of CDL you are applying for, you can make arrangements to use a Nebraska Safety Center vehicle.  

The cost for administering the tests if you furnish your own vehicle is $130.
The cost for administering the tests and using a Nebraska Safety Center vehicle is $250. 

In either case, if you fail any or all of your skill tests the first time, you will be allowed to retake the second tests at no charge.  If you fail any or all of your tests a second time, you will be charge a prorated amount for the individual test you need to retake.


All tests begin in the East parking lot of the Viaero Event Center located at 609 Platte Rd, Kearney, NE 68847.  Just south of the Kearney Interchange.  Click here for map 

Note:  The Nebraska DMV requires that a CDL applicant to register with a Third Party Test site a minimum of 24 hours prior to when they wish to drive.
