Rho Alpha Sigma was created to recognize the outstanding efforts of Resident Advisors, Resident Assistants, and Community Assistants from campuses across the nation. Each year, up to ten percent of the total RA population on each campus may be selected for induction into Rho Alpha Sigma. Furthermore, the organization has been developed to promote excellence in the performance of the RA position and to promote the student affairs profession amongst the most skilled RAs.
As a true honorary, each chapter has the ability to solely recognize the efforts of exceptional paraprofessional staff; however, in addition to being an honorary, each chapter may engage in service activities that benefit the RA community, the residence life community, or the institutional community.
In its fledgling years, Rho Alpha Sigma would like to found chapters throughout the United States. There are currently five recognized chapters. Please refer to the Prospective Chapter Information section to find out how to initiate a chapter at your campus.
