The Social Work course sequencing is five semesters (2-1/2 years) in length. Earning a B.S. in Social Work requires finishing the following: 45 hours of required social work courses, 12 hours of electives, and 45 hours of General Studies courses. Students are admitted to the program following the successful completion of SOWK 170 - Introduction to Social Welfare and SOWK 172 - Human Services Ethics and Experience. Detailed and updated information about the program can be located at: http://www.unk.edu/acad/socialwork/html.
