Special Education Program Suggestions 

Transfer students in Special Education need to complete the general studies core and preferably the Special Education course, Individuals with Exceptionalities, during their first two years.  The program is basically a Junior/Senior program.

* College Algebra required of students who do not have four years of high school mathematics including two years of high school algebra, 1 year of geometry, and a senior level math course and an ACT math score of 20 plus.
 
 

** The student should take the Praxis I test during the second year and prior to transferring to UNK.

***SPED majors must have at least one lab component with science courses for a minimum of 7 hours.  Many SPED majors are also ELED majors; ELED requires two lab science classes.
