Registration

EARLY, GENERAL, NEW STUDENT, OPEN & LATE

All course registrations are processed using MyBlue, the interactive web interface to the Student Information System. Students registering late or those registering for special permission classes must come to the Office of Student Records and Registration to complete their enrollment. All holds must be cleared before any registration activity can occur.

Early Registration - Early registration occurs once each semester for the next semester's classes. Only students that are currently enrolled are eligible to register during this period. Registration is scheduled according to the student's classification and student ID number (during this time period).

General Registration - General registration occurs between the end of the early registration period and the beginning of the Fall or Spring Semester or Summer Term. All students who are properly admitted to the institution and are not first-time transfer or first-time freshman students are eligible to register at this time.

New Student Registration - The first opportunity for new, first-time students to register is during Summer Advising and Enrollment (freshmen) or transfer day (transfer students). All new students will be blocked from using the MyBlue registration system until they have attended one of the special programs designed especially to orient them to campus.

Open Registration - Open registration occurs just prior to the beginning of the term after early registration, general registration, and freshman and transfer orientation sessions have passed. During open registration, any student, regardless of classification or enrollment status is eligible to register for classes.

Late Registration - Initial registration after the first week of the semester (Fall or Spring) or after the first class day (Summer) is considered late and a $15 late fee will be charged.  In order to process a late registration, students must have written permission from the instructor of each course for which they wish to register and they must complete their registration at the Registrar's office, Founders Hall from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Tuition and all fees are due at the time of registration.  Failure to pay at that time will result in late charges and prepayment for future terms.
Beginning the third week of the semester or the third day of a summer class, students wishing to register must have permission from the course instructor, department chair, and the dean of the college for each class in which they plan to enroll. Students cannot register for full semester classes following the fourth week of the term.

Students should refer to MyBlue or the appropriate printed class schedule for specific dates and times that registration is available.
