As of the Fall Semester of the 1990-1991 academic year, student transcripts are on a computerized Student Information System. Students who attended prior to the Fall Semester of the 1990-1991 academic year will have a record consisting of two separate formats, the former permanent record sheet and the current computer record.
At the end of each term, grades are submitted via the web by the faculty. During the Fall and Spring semesters, the grades are posted to the Student Information System the week following the end of the semester. During the Summer term, grades are posted to the Student Information System after each session. Changes to the records are processed on the computer and/or the hard copy record if applicable. The Student Information System provides excellent service to students and updated statistics on the transcript in a timely manner.
Effective 1999 Fall semester, UNK is no longer mailing final grade reports to students. Students have other options for accessing their grades, see the Grade Reports section of the handbook.
