Photo identification cards are issued only once to students and are valid as long as the student is enrolled at the University. The identification card is required to check out material from the library, gain entrance to athletic events, and for several other functions.
The photo identification card contains the student's photo, name, signature, and a magnetic strip that contains other data about the student. The Student Information System is accessed when a card is scanned to identify attributes about the student.
Lost or damaged cards will be replaced for a fee in the ID Card Office located in the Nebraskan Student Union. Lost cards should be reported immediately.
