Our Mission
To serve UNK students and employees suffering from food insecurity in a pursuit to ensure that no student's efforts to obtain a higher education are hindered by hunger. We strive to provide this service in a non-judgmental, dignified, welcoming, on-campus environment.
Where to Find Us
The Loper Pantry is located in the Office for Intercultural Engagement and Leadership (IEL) in the Nebraskan Student Union on UNK's campus. The IEL office is located on the first floor, east end.
The hours of the Nebraskan Student Union are:
Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
High Need Food Items
Cereal, Peanut butter, canned meats, microwave foods, rice, fruit (canned or cups), canned soups (not cream soups), hamburger helper, boxed dinners, dry pasta, snack foods, ramen noodles, oatmeal, juice, fruit drinks, etc.
Lopers Pantry Partners
University of Nebraska Foundation – provides funding for food when donations are low.
We are so thankful for these partners along with other student and community organizations which help the Lopers Pantry be a success through food and funding drives!
