Outstanding Student Organization Advisor
The Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award is awarded to an individual who voluntarily serves as an advisor to a student organization while exemplifying UNK's vision of leadership, service, and excellence.
This year, the award is being awarded to two individuals who co-advise an organization at UNK. The student who submitted the nomination described them as individuals who put in countless hours of their time each week to ensure the fraternity is running smoothly. Under their advisement, the chapter won their national award given to the top chapters in the nation four consecutive times, raised over $14,000 to benefit philanthropies within the past academic year, and has consistently had over a 3.15 GPA for the past seven semesters. Additionally, these two individuals were very instrumental in helping move the chapter on from the death of a member this year. Not only are these individuals active within the chapter, they are also active within the community of Kearney.
