 Outstanding Emerging Leader  

 

The Emerging Leader Award recognizes a freshman or sophomore who has excelled in their organization and has demonstrated true leadership qualities. The selection of the award will be based on his/her overall involvement within their organization, leadership initiatives, and overall contribution to the University of Nebraska - Kearney community. 

 

This year, the individual selected for this award was described as a positive and energetic. As a freshman, this individual was placed in a brand new executive board position (Vice President of Residential Learning Community) based off the potential he displayed. Not only was he placed in this new position, but this candidate went above and beyond what was asked of him, striving for additional and greater enterprises. He cultivated a relationship and partnership with a faculty member who then became the chapter’s faculty fellow. This individual has a contagious personality which makes others want to do better because of his leadership.

 

The Outstanding Emerging Leader for 2013 is Blake Brouillette with Sigma Phi Epsilon.
