Outstanding Student Organization Award
The Outstanding Student Organization Award is given to the student organization that demonstrated consistent flexibility, initiative, creativity, and perseverance. This organization made a meaningful contribution to the students, the University, and/or the surrounding community. This organization will have organized activities, events, and programs that have had a significant impact on the quality of campus life at UNK.
The recipient of this award is an organization that has shown exceptional flexibility and resilience over the past year. Coming into this academic year, this organization recognized what they needed to do be better and, more importantly, identified strategies on how to become better. This organization threw what they have always done in the past out the window and completely restructured its internal operations to better fit the current status of the organization. This has helped them double their membership to eight members in just a year and has given them the ability to move forward with growth and functionality.
The Outstanding Student Organization for 2013 is Alpha Tau Omega.
