Community Service Program of the Year
 

The Community Service Program of the Year Award recognizes a program that is sponsored by a student organization at UNK that contributed to the broader mission of UNK and encourages students to engage in service beyond this one experience.

The award for 2012 goes to an organization who does a large amount of community outreach.  This program just wrapped it's fifth year on the UNK campus and aims to expose middle school girls to higher education, as well as self-esteem issues, healthy relationships, and adolescence.  Not only is this conference beneficial to the young women who participate, but the organization gains benefit and inspiration annually from this event.  Additionally, the UNK campus benefits from the program through exposure of UNK to young women at a young age.

The Community Service Program of the Year for 2012 is the Lambda Youth Leadership Conference hosted by the women of Lambda Theta Nu.
