We are the Few, We make the Difference, We make the Change...
A conference for students planned by students
Since 2001,the annual Nebraska Cultural Unity Conference (NCUC) at the
University of Nebraska at Kearney aims to promote cultural diversity in
higher education. The planning for the Nebraska Cultural Unity Conference is a year long, and the planning committee is comprised of student leaders dedicated to organizing, and executing a phenominal conference agenda.
The Nebraska Cultural Unity Conference is a daylong event full of learning opportunities to engage over 350 high school students. Through a series of workshops, discussions, and
motivational speakers UNK hopes to recruit and inspire high school
students from various ares of the state, to consider and commit to a college or university-level
education.
The goal of the conference is to inspire these students and
to inform them that the obstacles they may face can be overcome and that
they have the potential to become college graduates.
The conference is held in the Nebraskan Student Union and is
typically held during the spring semester. High school students from
all backgrounds and schools are invited.
