      Solution:  At the upper right side of the screen is the Options menu>See All Options>Settings>Mail 

    • Outlook uses the EASI log in information

      Problem:  Do I use my Lotus Notes username and password to log in to Outlook? 
      Solution:  No, you use your EASI username and password.  This is the same username and password that you use for Blackboard or when you log on to your computer in the morning.

      Problem: I want Outlook to automatically spell check before I send a message. 
      Solution:  Outlook Web App (OWA) spell check before sending Email is only available on Internet Explorer.

      Problem:  How do you get your photo added to appear in the Outlook web App? 
      Solution:  To add the photo, it seems to work best to add it through the Outlook Web App.

      Problem:  You are creating an email and find that the many of your options are grayed out, such as font styles or inserting a picture.
      This probably means that your email text is set to Plain Text.

      If you are in Outlook 2010 PC, Outlook 2011 Mac or the Outlook Web App (OWA) versions and have questions, the best thing to do is use the Outlook Help. 
      In all three versions there are question mark icons that you can click on to access the Outlook help.

      Problem:  You are finding that emails from an individual keep getting put in your junk mail folder. 
      Answer: Here is one way to solve the problem for the Outlook Web App (OWA).

      Outlook, by default, separates the email addresses using a ";”.  You may change this option to use “,” as separator.  
      File > Options > Mail > scroll down to Send messages section and select Comma can be used

      The following are steps needed to add another person’s mailbox to your Outlook 2010 profile.
      IMPORTANT: the manager of the shared mailbox must have granted you permission
    • PC_Blocking a sender

      Instructions for Outlook 2010 PC users>Right click on the email that you want to block > select Junk > Block sender
    • Send and save message to folder

      In your new message window, select the Options tab, in More Options group click on the triangle for Save and Send Item To menu item and select Other Folders…
      Outlook displays a list of your folders, select the folder that you want to save your message. When you send your message, you will have a copy of it in the folder that you selected in previous step.
    • Mac_Outlook 2011: Accessing a Shared Mailbox

    • Set a reminder to reply to a message

      1. Right-click the message you want to set the reminder for > Follow up > Add Reminder
      2. In the Due date list, click the date when you have to complete the follow up.  You can also set a reminder before the due date.  When you are done click the OK button.

    • Play sound when new emails arrive in Outlook web app

       Open the Options menu > See All Options … > Settings > in Message Options group select the Play a sound when new items arrive option.   

    • emails in junk folder

      At this time, some emails that are not junk are being sent to your junk folder. It is suggested that you check this folder often (daily). Below is one suggested method to move these emails to your inbox.

    • Display the Bcc box in Outlook 2010

      By default the Bcc box is not displayed in Outlook. However, you may change this by following the instructions in the above link.
