LoperMail FAQ 

Your LoperMail account is a full-featured email client with built-in instant messaging, voice and video chat, tasks, mobile access, spam and virus protection. 
 

1. What is LoperMail?
   LoperMail is your student email account at UNK which allows you to take advantage of Google’s email, productivity, and collaboration tools. Your email address will be in this format: username@lopers.unk.edu
2. How do I set up LoperMail on my Smart Phone or computer device?

   1. First you will need to set up your UNK Mobile Access Password

   • Go to https://easi.unk.edu 
   • Click on Don't know your password? 
   • Click on Mobile Access Password 
   • Follow the wizard

   2. How do I access my LoperMail using IMAP (recommended) or POP3?

   Here is how to set up IMAP

   • Enable IMAP
   • Go to http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=75726 
   • Select your device and follow the instructions
   • You must use your full email address students@lopers.unk.edu 
   • Whenever you are asked for your password, use your UNK Mobile Access Password 

   Here is how to set up POP3

   • Go to your email application to create your LoperMail account
   • Enter your name, email address, and UNK Mobile Access Password in the appropriate fields. Remember your email address field should be your full email address students@lopers.unk.edu 
   • Under Incoming Mail Server fill in the Host Name field as pop.gmail.com 
   • Under Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) fill in the Host Name field as smtp.gmail.com 
   • Tap Save. You're done!

    
3. What is my username and password for LoperMail?
   Your username and password for LoperMail is your EASI username and password.

   • Your EASI username and password will be used for LoperMail, Blackboard, UNK Wireless and Qualtrics.
   • Your EASI usernames is the first part of your UNK LoperMail address.
   • If you've forgotten or don't know your EASI password, visit https://easi.unk.edu/ 

   Click on the Don't Know My Password? link > select Student Password Reset > Follow the wizard to change your EASI password.  
4. How long can I keep my LoperMail email account?
   You can keep your LoperMail email account for up to two years past your last semester of classes taken.
5. Will my EASI username and password also get me into MyBLUE portal?
   No. You will need to use your NUID and TrueYou password in MyBLUE.

   • Use your EASI username and password for LoperMail, Blackboard, UNK Wireless and other services.

    
6. How many people can I send one email to?
   The maximum number of email recipients is 50.
7. What is the largest email I can send?
   20MB is the largest email allowed in LoperMail.
8. How much space will I have?
   Each LoperMail user receives 7GB of storage space.
9. Will this affect my current Gmail account?
   No. LoperMail is powered by Google but is separate from other email accounts you may have with Google
10. Do I need a LoperMail account if I already have a personal Gmail account?
    Yes. LoperMail is a separate that allows you to send and receive LoperMail (Google email) using your @lopers.unk.edu email address.

    • Your LoperMail account provides the benefits of Gmail in an ad-free environment.
    • You will need to use your LoperMail account for all UNK notifications and email.
    • Your instructors will only communicate with you through your LoperMail account.
