Almost everyone is familiar with Cut, Copy and Paste, but way too many use the slowest method for executing these valuable tools. The toolbar icons and the edit menu provide the best-known, most frequently used methods, but there are faster ways to do this:
1. Select the text or object you wish to Cut or Copy.
2. Options:
- Right-click somewhere on one of the selected items (PC or MAC)
OR
- PC – Click on the Shift Key and F10 key
OR
- Mac – Hold down your Control Key and Click
3. In the context menu that appears, select either Cut or Copy.

4. Place your cursor on the spot where you'd like to paste the item, then choose your favorite step from the options above and finally click Paste when the menu appears.
Another way, if you'd rather keep your hands on the keyboard and my favorite!
- Select the text or object you wish to cut or copy.
- Place the insertion point (blinking straight line cursor) in your selected text.
- PC
- Press Ctrl-X to cut, Ctrl-C to copy

- Place the insertion point in on the spot where you'd like to paste the item and then press Ctrl-V to paste.
- MAC
- Press Open Apple-X to cut, Open Apple-C to copy

- Place the insertion point in on the spot where you'd like to paste the item and then press Open Apple-Y to paste.
NOTICE:
are all together on your keyboard!
If you are on a PC, you use the Control Key and if you are on a Mac you use the Open Apple key.
