The University Ombudsperson assists those who are seeking answers or resolutions to a university related issue. The ombudsperson serves as an alternative source for information and advice regarding university related issues.
The University Ombudsperson serves as a neutral and confidential party, taking concerns in an impartial and objective manner. The University Ombudsperson will present options to assist in efficiently and effectively resolving university related concerns.
The University Ombudsperson cannot offer legal advice, advocate for any individual or serve as a representative in a hearing or any other formal proceedings. Communication with the ombudsperson is not normally considered "official notice" to the university. However, the University Ombudsperson is required to appropriately report situations involving discrimination, harassment, or dangers to self or others.
