Respect Boundaries

Respect Boundaries

Respect Boundaries is the UNK program dedicated to assisting those who have experienced discrimination and/or sexual misconduct (dating violence, domestic assault, domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and stalking). Respect Boundaries also provides education to prevent these types of aggression, harassment and discrimination.

Sexual misconduct is conduct in violation of University policy and state and federal law that the University will take action to eliminate, prevent, and redress once the University knows it has occurred. This policy applies to all University of Nebraska employees and students regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, and to all programs and activities under the jurisdiction of the University of Nebraska. A person subjected to sexual misconduct may be helped whether or not a complaint or report of any kind is filed. Changes in academic, living, transportation, and working situations may be made available by the University as remedies to protect persons, complainants, or witnesses.

October Clothes Line Project
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and as part of the awareness on campus the Women’s Center puts on the Clothes Line event. This national art project displays t-shirts on a clothesline as a memorial to the victims and survivors of relationship violence. As part of our effort to educate the student body population, we invite anyone who is interested to create a shirt advocating the need to end relationship violence. Then, these shirts are displayed around campus on various ‘clothes lines’.
