University of Nebraska at Kearney students who have paid the semester health fee are eligible for care at UNK Health Care clinic, (i.e. those taking 7 or more hours for fall and spring sessions). Students taking less than 7 credit hours may opt to pay the semester's health fee and access the services of UNK Health Care during the semester for which they pay the fee. Students must be attending the current session to be eligible for services during spring and fall semesters. Any student who completed the immediately preceding spring semester and who is registered for the immediately following fall semester, may opt to pay the summer health fee and access UNK Health Care during the summer semester. Students taking summer classes pay the health fee as part of their tuition, and may access the health center all summer. The health fee covers office visits with UNK Health Care clinicians as well as selected procedures, selected treatments and health education information.

During the fall and spring class sessions, UNK Health Care is open for office hours Monday-Friday, 8 to 5pm. For walk-in care with registered nurses available
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, 8:30-4pm
- Wednesday, 9am - 4pm
- Open late until 6:30pm on Thursday evenings
Appointments for the nurse practitioner (ARNP) are scheduled by the registered nurse (RN).
Summer session hours vary for walk-in care. Students are encouraged to call 865-8218 to determine the nurse's schedule.
Students with questions regarding their health record or needs that are not related to illness or injury may come in anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The UNK Health Care office and clinic is closed on weekends and university holidays.
UNK Health Care offers an evening clinic on Thursdays until 6:30 p.m. The clinic will be staffed to offer both walk-in care and appointments.
