The Supply Chain Management Scholarship provides assistance to incoming freshmen students pursuing a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management.
The Supply Chain Management program at UNK focuses on the ways in which businesses coordinate planning, purchasing, production, transportation, storage, distribution, customer service and more in order to control expenses, boost sales and create value for their customers. Supply Chain Managers are the “glue” that connects all of these different functions of the organization together to be sure business is being conducted as effectively and efficiently as possible.
The opportunities for Supply Chain Management students after graduation are nearly endless. Whether your interests include analyzing data, building relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, scheduling, monitoring inventory cycles and flows, or many other areas, there is a supply chain opportunity waiting for you! Careers in the Supply Chain Management field include buyers, logistics analysts, inventory controllers, production planners, transportation managers, warehouse operations specialists and many more. U.S. News and World Report, in its Best Jobs of the Future issue, lists Supply Chain Management as one of the 20 hot job tracks for the 21st century.
