In order to receive financial aid, students must be fully admitted and enrolled at UNK. Once admitted, students are highly encouraged to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible after October 1, 2016 for the 2017-2018 academic year. Students and parents of dependent students are required to create a FSA ID in order to sign the application electronically. There is a link to create the FSA ID on the FAFSA sign-in page, or you may visit http://fsaid.ed.gov. The information on the FAFSA is needed to calculate the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) which is used by the school to determine the student's financial aid award.
