Year One College Alcohol Profile (Y1 CAP)

The Y1 CAP is a web and social norms-based prevention tool for incoming students to complete prior to coming to UNK’s campus. Originally started by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009, the Y1 CAP focuses on communicating the real drinking culture at UNK’s campus to incoming students whose perceptions may be largely skewed if the actual drinking rates amongst first-year students are low.

Funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education and coordinated by the Nebraska Prevention Center for Alcohol & Drug Abuse, a Center of the College of Education and Human Sciences, Department of Educational Psychology.
