Biography

Years in ACS: Have worked in the Academic & Career Services office since March 2009.

Education:  BA from UNL in English Education; MA from UNK in Speech Communications

Education and training have been the focus of my professional life. My journey began with teaching English and Speech at Overton Public Schools, then working as an adjunct instructor in the Speech and English departments at KSC/UNK.  I next took a 12-year detour from the academic environment and worked in Research & Development, designing curriculum and training components for a private employment communications company. Finally, I returned to UNK as an advisor in the Academic & Career Services office.  It has been, and continues to be, an interesting and rewarding excursion.

Best part of my job: I appreciate the variety in the position.  There’s something different going on each day and always a new challenge.
