Amy holds a Master of Arts degree in History from UNK and has been in the academic advising field for 16 years. She served as an advisor and as the assistant director of Academic Advising until the department merged with Career Services in 2010 to form the Academic and Career Services Office. She will begin her duties as Director in August, 2014. She has taught courses on campus in a variety of departments, including English, Modern Languages (French), History, and International Studies.

Best part of my job: It’s cool that we get to work with students during two important transitions in their lives; moving from high school to college, and from college into whatever comes next.

I have spent most of my adult life living in Hastings but moved to Kearney 4 years ago and love the town! I have 3 children that I am very proud of. My oldest graduated from UNK and my youngest will be attending UNK in the Fall of 2015.
