Charge:
The Chancellor's Committee on Gender Equity is charged with the dual responsibility of reviewing policies and practices and of making appropriate recommendations in order to avoid any sexual discrimination which may affect faculty, students and staff in an academic, professional, or personal manner.
Further, the Advisory Committee for Gender Equity is a constructive response to the principle of the equality of the sexes in all aspects of the model academic community. Therefore, its mission is that of consciously thinking, planning and responding in order to achieve and maintain gender equity rather than merely to deal with problems as they arise.
The committee will meet at least twice each semester and will report directly to the Chancellor.
Gender Equity Membership
