What is the Blackboard Content Collection System?
Until now, you could only upload one file at a time to your Blackboard site; with the Content Management System you can drag-and-drop multiple files simultaneously and point/link to them from any of your Blackboard sites. This allows you to edit your documents without having to remove and re-upload them and the revised document is automatically updated in all instances where it is being used.
Think of the Content Collection System in Blackboard as having a flash drive or an external hard drive always available to you by just simply logging into your Blackboard account. With Content Collection System, all of the files that you need for your class are always with you when you log on to Blackboard anywhere, anytime.
Users can share their files both inside and outside the university, giving both read and write access to specific individuals, groups and institution roles (i.e. all biology teachers) for ease of document collaboration.
Electronic portfolios enable students and faculty members to assemble, present and share information online for documenting academic growth, career evaluation and course preparation. Portfolios can be generated via the Portfolio Creation Wizard or customized based on pre-established portfolio templates. Institutions can also develop their own portfolio templates to guide their students in developing their portfolios.
