Your passwords protect your accounts (Blackboard, e-mail), files on your personal computer and ultimately the University's computer system. You are responsible for any activity that originates from your account(s). Therefore, for security reasons, it is essential that you change your passwords from time to time.
- Never tell anyone your password.
- Change your password to something you will find easy to remember and hard for anyone else to figure out.
- Never write down your password. DO NOT leave a written copy of your password anywhere near your computer.
- If you are ever concerned that someone might know your password, change the password immediately.
