The University of Nebraska at Kearney department of music and
performing arts will unveil seven original play scripts during
Innovations: an evening of original works on September 19-20.
UNK faculty and students will perform the monologues and short plays
beginning at 7:30 p.m. each evening in the Studio Theater.
Playwrights featured will include Of All the Parts She Plays by Jean
Duffy, junior, Elwood; Seasons by David Keebler, senior, Omaha;
Flowers From Oscar by Jillian Schlake, former student, Kearney; The
Actress, Trains A Lot, Lonely Guy and Research at the Virginia
Hysterical Society, all by Janice Fronczak, UNK professor of Music
and Performing Arts. In addition to original plays, unique artwork
and compositions created by faculty and staff will be featured.
General admission seating will be $7 with discounts available for
students, seniors, and staff. UNK students will receive one
complimentary ticket with a valid UNK ID. Tickets may be reserved by

boxoffice@unk.edu. Office hours are Monday through Thursday noon to
3 p.m. and one hour prior to each performance.
