Soloist Franzi Brech

Franziska Brech, a native of Munich, Germany, has presented recitals in Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Slovenia and across the United States. She holds a performance degree from the Robert-Schumann Institute for Music in Düsseldorf, Germany, where she studied with Michael Faust.
 
She has been a member of several symphony orchestras in Germany as well as in the United States. Currently, she teaches flute and German at UNK and is a member of KSO. She is also a member of Highfalutin, a flute group, and The Trans-Nebraska Players, a five-member ensemble (flute, violin, viola, cello and piano) comprised of music faculty from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Chadron State College and UNK.
 
In August 2011 and 2013, she performed at the National Flute Association Conventions in Charlotte, N.C., and New Orleans, respectively, and in June 2013, at the First Canadian National Flute Convention in Oakville, Canada. Since 2010, she has been a contributing author for the German flute magazine "Flöte aktuell."
