To transfer from another school to UNK, you must: Contact the International Admissions Office at UNK for an admission package and complete the admissions process. Inform the school you are currently authorized to attend of your intention to transfer. Give your current International Student advisor the date you want to be “released” in the SEVIS system from your current school. If you are working on campus or have other obligations to your current school, you do not want to be released until these are completed. Contact the office of International Student Services at UNK and obtain a transfer form or download the transfer form. Take the transfer form to your current school’s international advisor to fill out and return to UNK. After you complete the admissions process you will receive a SEVIS I-20 from the UNK admissions office. Within 15 days of arrival at UNK, bring this SEVIS I-20 to the ISS office to complete the transfer process. Bring your immigration documents (valid passport with visa, previous I-20s, and I-94 card) for processing. Enroll at UNK in the first term after leaving your previous school or the first term after summer or winter break (this requirement is implicit if you are to meet the eligibility criteria of maintaining status). You must be enrolled as a full-time student each consecutive semester (except for summers) until you complete your degree. Undergraduates must be enrolled for 12 credit hours a semester and graduates must be enrolled for 9 credit hours a semester. If you are co-enrolled at another university, you must have this approved before you begin classes.
