Traveling to - from Kearney
 
Local Trasportation
 

Each Time You Travel !!!

Remember to notify your International Advisor about your travel plans and make sure that your I-20 has a valid signature and all your documents are in order.The signature of the I-20 is valid for five months.  You must make sure to come back before that time or that your International Advisor signs it before your departure.  Don't forget to take your passport, I-20, and I-94 with you and to maintain them in a safe place during your trip and vacation.To reenter the U.S., your visa, passport, I-20, and I-94 must be valid and not expired. 




Local Transportation

Kearney has limited public transportation.  Many students purchase a bicycle; a few can afford a car.  Try to arrange for rides with students who have a vehicle.  Other means of local transportation are:

The R.Y.D.E.will provide rides to any location from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for $1.50 each way.  Call 865.5677 24 hours in advance for a pick up.  Be sure to have your address ready to give the phone attendant.

Kearney Cab runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Call 234.6725 for pick up.  A ride to Walmart will cost approximately $6.95 one way for one person.  Additional person are 75 cents each.

Traveling In -Out  Kearney By Ground

Eppley Express Shuttle travels to Lincoln and Omaha daily.  For specific information regarding these services and more, call Eppley Express at 1-800-888-9793 or locally at (308) 234-6066 or visit http://www.eppleyexpress.com.  Kearney to Omaha costs about $44.

Trailways Bus Service is located at 110 West 16th Street (south of Boogaarts Food Store). Call the agent at 308-237-2052 for prices and schedules. Call the Kearney Cab for transportation to the bus depot.

Air Transportation

Kearney (airport code EAR) has air service to and from Denver International Airport (airport code DIA) through Great Lakes Aviation. Flights from Kearney depart at 6:35am, 1:07pm and 4:57pm. Flights to Kearney depart Denver at 10:35am, 2:25pm, and 6:44pm. Call 308-233-5040 or go to www.flykearney.com, or www.greatlakesav.com.

Great Lakes Aviation has a program called E Book that allows a coupon book with vouchers for 10 tickets to be purchased at one time at a discount.  See the links below for additional information:
