Position Description: International Student Orientation Leaders are vital to the success of all new international students as they transition to college life at UNK during Orientation Week activities. Orientation Leaders are the definition of what it means to be a UNK student and a proud Loper because they are students who demonstrate leadership qualities, work as a team with others, are able to engage in conversation with new students, and show Loper pride. Each Orientation Leader will escort new students to a variety of activities throughout the week. They will serve as campus guides, assist students through the check-in and class registration process, answer questions, and engage each student in the planned orientation activities. Applicants should have good communication skills, a team-centered attitude, leadership experience, time management skills, and Loper pride. If you plan to apply for an ISS Scholarship, this position will provide a great opportunity to prove your leadership skills. Also, if you have an ISS Scholarship, being an Orientation Leader will serve as a contribution to our office.
