Spring 2013 Tentative ORIENTATION SCHEDULE

8:00am – 10:00 am				Check in at Welch Hall – (immigration docs – on-line forms)

10:00am – 12:00 pm				ID Card Office (with Orientation folder & ID #) at the Nebraskan Student Union

12:00pm – 1:30 pm				Lunch - Wells Fargo Bank opening interview (passport, Student ID & Application Form) At Wells Fargo Bank (Van will leave from East side Parking lot of Student Union)
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm				Health Center (TB skin test/MMR) (Student Affairs Building, Room # 184)

2:30 pm – 3:30 pm				Academic advising: students needing advising can go at this time to register for classes. (Student Affairs Building, Room # 140). Do not go to academic advising until you have completed the health check in process and your hold has been lifted.

3:30 pm - 5:00 pm				UNK campus Tour –Begin at Student Union Front Door (South Side, Main entrance)

5:30pm -8:30 pm				Shopping Trip to Hilltop Mall Area (Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, Mall, and fast food establishments) (Van leaves from the Student Union East side Parking lot every 30 minutes)

3:30 pm - 5:00 pm				International Student Technology Orientation - Rm 138 Otto Olson Building Bring computer and your computer power cord. The Orientation Volunteer will be available to set up your computer to operate at maximum efficiency during your stay at ELI/UNK. You will need your my Blue Account Name and Password! The Volunteer will make every attempt to do this quickly. UNK campus Tour –Begin at Student Union Front Door (South Side, Main entrance)

9:00 am 10:15 am				Mandatory Immigration Orientation & Police Law Review, Copeland Hall 142

10:15 am – 10:40 am				“Meet and Greet Hot Cocoa” at Copeland Hall 142

10:40 am – 10:50 am				Sex Education from Health center at Copeland Hall 142

10:50 am – 11:00 am				Bookstore orientation (How to purchase and rent the books from college bookstore)

11:00 am – 12:00 pm				Group workshop form different countries

12:10 pm – 1:30 pm				Lunch - Wells Fargo Bank opening interview (passport, Student ID & Application Form) At Wells Fargo Bank (Van will leave from east side Parking lot of Student Union)

8:00 pm				PLANETARIUM AND OBSERVATORY (Only for International students, FREE) AT Bruner Hall.

8:00 – 2:00 pm				Welch Hall open for check in

11:00- 12:30 pm				Lunch and Class about how to use the meal plan and points (Market 27) @Student Union (Market 27).

12:40- 2:00 pm				Wells Fargo bank Trip (Meet at the East side Parking lot of Student Union)
2:00-6:00 pm				Shuttle to Wal-Mart for shopping from the east side of student Union parking lot (Free to everyone)

8:00 – 2:00 pm			Welch Hall open for check in
12:00-5:00 pm			Shopping trip to Wal-Mart (Van leaves from the student union east side parking lot in every 30mins)
