Thank you for your interest in participating in the International Friendship Program. You will find this to be an incredibly rewarding experience. Many families who participate in this program develop life-long friendships with their student. There are numerous stories of Kearney families who have traveled to Japan, India and other countries to visit the students they befriended while they were in Kearney.
The duration of the commitment is one year. However, most often the friendship lasts throughout the student’s stay in Kearney and even beyond. The time commitment does not need to be great. It is our hope that students and families will connect once or twice a month. You are free to get together more frequently if you like.
