Notification of Arrival Form - University of Nebraska at Kearney

The Office of International Student Services and UNK are closed on the following dates:

1. Monday, May 27, 2013 (Memorial Day)

2. Thursday, July 4, 2013 (Independence Day)

3. Monday, September 2, 2013 (Labor Day)

4. Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29, 2013 (Thanksgiving)

5. December 23, 2013 - January 1, 2014 (Holiday Closedown)

6. Monday, January 20, 2014 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

Deadline to Request Pickup at Airport: Sunday, August 4, 2013. If you do not submit your arrival information, you will need to make your own arrangements regarding your arrival to our campus.  

New international students are allowed to move into their room on Monday, August 19, 2013, if a signed housing contract and arrival details have been received by the Office of Residential and Greek Life.

 Arrival to Nebraska 

It is best to fly directly into Kearney Regional Airport (airport code: EAR) from Denver International Airport in Denver, Colorado. If you fly directly into Kearney, UNK will arrange ground transportation for you from the Kearney airport to the campus at no cost. Travel to UNK via other Nebraska cities such as Lincoln or Omaha will result in additional expenses and time delays due to distance of travel to campus; possible overnight stays may be necessary to accommodate your flight time and bus schedule to travel to Kearney. Again, flying to Kearney Regional Airport (EAR) is the best solution. 

If you plan to arrive to Lincoln or Omaha, you will have to make a shuttle bus reservation. Two shuttle bus services are available from Omaha and Lincoln to Kearney.  Below are websites for making your shuttle bus reservations from Omaha or Lincoln to Kearney (UNK):

Please keep in mind that if you arrive at Omaha or Lincoln airports after 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. respectively, you will have to stay in the hotels (mentioned above) for that night and make your shuttle bus reservations for the next day.
