We are pleased to announce the
first annual Festival Orchestra Day. The
high points of this event will be student performance opportunities in
orchestra and chamber music, extensive rehearsals and coaching, and the chance
of performing a solo with the Festival Orchestra.
Dr. Deborah Freedman (Ronald J. Crocker Chair in Music & Music Director - Kearney Symphony Orchestra) will direct the Festival Orchestra. Dr. Freedman
has conducted orchestras such as the Annapolis Symphony, the St. Joseph Symphony, the Liberty Symphony, the La Crosse
Symphony, and the Kansas Chamber Players. Ting-Lan Chen (Associate Professor of
Violin/Viola) and Noah Rogoff (Assistant Professor of Cello/Bass) will lead the master classes
and chamber music seminars.
