Dr. Christina Jackson 

Background   
I have a bachelor of science in Mass Communication from South Dakota State University and a master’s in Mass Communication from the University of South Dakota. I completed a doctorate in educational administration with and emphasis in adult and higher education at the University of South Dakota in 2011.

Before coming to UNK, I taught courses in public relations and visual communications at the University of South Dakota. I also have industry experience and have held have held positions in healthcare, non-profit, corporate communications, and publishing.

I earned the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America.

Philosophy 		    
"There is no typical day in public relations (or any communications position, for that matter). One must expect the unexpected. I encourage students to take advantage of every opportunity they can during college, as it will help prepare them for their professional careers."

 
Classes     
Global Media Literacy, Publication Design (fall), Print Advertising Design (spring), Advertising Campaigns, Advertising @ Antelope I have also taught classes in public relations principles, writing and strategies.
