Staff Senate is pleased to announce that Fauneil Meier, Staff Secretary III in the International Center, is our September Employee of the Month.
Since 2003, Fauneil's duties have included secretarial support for International Education, International Student Services, International Admissions, the Study Aboard Program, the English Language Institute, and the James E. Smith Midwest Conference on World Affairs. During her fifteen years of service at UNK, Fauneil has assisted in numerous offices across the campus.
Fauneil's colleagues commend her ability to quickly grasp any situation and complete her assignments with efficiency and accuracy. During the International Food Festival, she developed a process for fund distribution to a large of group of students, which resulted in “to the penny “accounting. She takes time to develop rapport with the International students, helping them feel at ease while they adjust to a new environment.
Fauneil accepts new tasks without question. Her work is always of the highest quality, thorough, accurate, expedient, and well organized. She displays a friendly, positive, helpful, and pleasant attitude to everyone. She is an asset to her department and the University.
