The UNK Staff Senate is pleased to recognize Jane Petersen as the December 2009 Employee Achievement Award.  Jane consistently provides an extraordinary commitment to quality and service to Faculty, Staff, Students and community members alike.

She has a wealth of knowledge regarding technology, software, and more importantly, how to teach these skills to individuals using easy and understandable techniques.  Her dedication to her work is evident through the extra thought she puts into gearing her instructional methods to the audience, whether it be for Faculty, Staff, Students, or community members.

Jane contributes to the Information Technology department, UNK, and the Kearney communities by providing a commitment to exemplary service in the work place.  She provides a wide range of technology training sessions and workshops to the campus and surrounding communities that keep us abreast of latest advances of technology.  She also serves as a teaching methods Instructor for the Business Education department in which she trains future business teachers for their future profession.

The high quality work Jane provides proves her commitment to excellence.  If she contributes to a project, it is known that the task will be completed with quality, efficiency, consideration and dedication.  Jane takes extra steps and prepares thoroughly for presentations and workshops in which she's involved, which contributes to the overall quality of her work, and supports her commitment towards excellence.

Perhaps most importantly, Jane is constantly focuses on the needs of others.  Jane projects an unmistakable attitude of teamwork and enthusiasm.  She has an understanding that all her efforts contribute to the greater good of the entire team.

For her achievements to better the campus, the community, and her colleagues, the UNK Staff Senate is proud to recognize Jane Petersen with the December 2009 UNK Employee Achievement Award.
