Department of the Month
November 2008
The UNK Staff Senate is pleased to recognize the HPERLS Facilities Staff as the November 2008 Department of the Month! Terry, Wade, Bryan, Emanuel, Timmy and Jeff are dedicated to keeping Cushing Facilities a clean and safe environment for all UNK employees and students.
The Cushing custodial staff is not only responsible for keeping Cushing Facilities looking good but they also provide the same for the North End Zone building at Foster Field. The staff has worked hard to make Cushing a showcase building. They have exerted a lot of effort to make it look the best it can look. They work together and help each other to make this happen.
Faculty and staff feel that these custodians are always willing to be of assistance. They are always quick to respond and are kind and considerate in all their dealing with other employees, students and the general public.
The custodial staff volunteers to work extra hours for activities taking place in Cushing Facilities. There are indoor track meets, wrestling meets, speech tournaments, volleyball and basketball tournaments to name a few.
Cushing Facilities is used more than any building on campus. There is foot traffic from faculty, staff, students, prospective students and parents as well as community people attending events in this building or the Health and Sports Center. Keeping the building clean is very important to maintaining the image of the campus. For their continued hard work the UNK Staff Senate would like to recognize the HPERLS Facilities Staff as the November 2008 Department of the Month!
