October 2008
The UNK Staff Senate is pleased to recognize Intramurals as the October 2008 UNK Department of the Month. The Intramurals Department continues to serve the students, staff and faculty with a commitment to excellence in customer service and professionalism. The Intramurals Department is constantly seeking feedback to allow them to better understand the needs and desires of their program.
Each year the Intramurals Department recognizes outstanding participants in each event as well as their recognizing the good work of their staff.
Intramurals is dedicated to operating at a level of excellence in everything it does. Every event or activity is fully developed with trained staff on site and available to the participants. The Intramural Director, Scot Fransk, is the coordinator of the Inter-campus golf tournament held each summer. The Intramural program ensures a high level of professionalism from their staff by holding monthly staff training sessions and weekly staff meetings. In addition the student-staff is required to dress professionally which upholds their representation of the university while on duty.
The Intramural Department brings an added extra to the UNK community. Not only does Intramurals encourage student participation in its activities, it also encourages faculty and staff to participate bringing both groups together in a fun and exciting atmosphere. The UNK Staff Senate is proud to recognize the Intramurals Department as the October 2008 Department of the Month.
