Joy Kutsch September Employee of the Month-Joy Kutsch
UNK Employee of the Month
September 2008

The UNK Staff Senate is pleased to recognize Joy Kutsch, Custodian for Facilities Management and Planning, as the September 2008 UNK Employee of the Month.  Over the past 22 years at UNK Joy has worked in Bruner Hall, the Fine Arts Building, West Center and now is working in Founders Hall.  Joy is very dependable and a big help to her supervisor by scheduling the work load and following up with everything to make sure the job is done right.  Before Joy came to work for UNK her mother worked here as a Lead Custodian in the Library and retired from Kearney State College in 1982.  Joys’ husband, Dan also works here at UNK.  Joy and Dan have two sons and one granddaughter.

The following are a few comments about Joy made by her colleagues:

“Joy is a very hard worker and does her job well. She always checks with me to schedule waxing for the rooms when it is most convenient for the department. I appreciate her hard work and consideration”.

“Joy has a happy-go-lucky attitude, and is always willing to help out at the last minute with extra cleaning or detail work as requested.  Her cheerfulness shows up each morning with a warm, "Good Morning, how are you today?" and lasts throughout the day.  Everyone in Founders Hall appreciates all that she does to make the building warm, welcoming, and clean all in one "sweep."

“If I need a job done I can rely on Joy and know the job will get done. Joy is fun to be around and she gets along with everyone.  She takes pride in her work and is willing to work events.”

Because of her hard work and dedication the UNK Staff Senate would like to recognize Joy Kutsch as the September 2008 UNK Employee of the Month!

The Employee of the Month is sponsored by: UNK Athletics, UNK Theater, Campus Cuts, Chartwells and the Antelope Bookstore.
